Miri – SOP Foundation successfully concluded the first round of its Blood Donation Drive 2026 at Boulevard Shopping Mall, Miri, reaffirming its commitment to supporting community healthcare and inspiring more individuals to save lives through voluntary blood donation.

The programme was organised with the support of the Blood Transfusion Unit Miri and the Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Branch, whose dedicated teams ensured a smooth and safe donation process for all participants. SOP Foundation also extends its sincere appreciation to Boulevard Shopping Mall for providing the venue and supporting this meaningful community initiative.

A total of 134 individuals registered for the blood donation drive, resulting in 104 successful blood donations collected to help strengthen the local blood supply and support patients requiring lifesaving transfusions. The event also welcomed 17 first-time blood donors, reflecting growing community awareness and participation. In addition, five (5) individuals pledged to become organ donors, further demonstrating their commitment to giving the gift of life.

SOP Foundation extends its heartfelt appreciation to all donors, volunteers, partners, and members of the public for their generous support and participation. SOP Foundation looks forward to continuing its blood donation initiatives and encouraging more individuals to make a meaningful difference through the simple act of donating blood, helping to ensure a sustainable blood supply for the community.
