Sebauh, Bintulu — In conjunction with World Sight Day 2025, SOP Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to community wellbeing by delivering essential eye health services to the residents of RH Edwin, Sungai Sujan Mapo, Sebauh. With the support of Klinik Kesihatan Sebauh and Miri Specvision Optometry, the initiative aimed to improve eye health and provide free vision screenings and glasses to rural communities in need.

Held on 17 October 2025, the event saw the participation of over 70 residents, who underwent both general health screenings and eye examinations, helping to make healthcare more accessible in the area. Those who require glasses will receive them at a later date, fully sponsored by SOP Foundation, once their prescription eyewear is prepared by the optical team.

SAM Tommy Wan, Senior Assistant Manager of SOP Sabaju 2, shared: “We are honored to hold this event in conjunction with World Sight Day to highlight the importance of vision care and support the health of the RH Edwin community. We hope this initiative not only improves eyesight but also raises awareness about the importance of eye health.”

Since its inception in 2013, the Vision Care Project has expanded across various regions, continuously striving to enhance the quality of life for communities.

SOP Foundation continues to actively contribute to local community development by organizing a variety of economic support and social contribution programs. These initiatives span areas such as education, healthcare, disaster relief, and more, underscoring SOP Foundation’s deep-rooted commitment to making a lasting positive impact.

Another round of the Vision Care Project is scheduled to take place later this year in a different region, as part of SOP Foundation’s ongoing efforts to broaden its outreach and serve more communities in need.

I found the post about the SOP Foundation bringing vision care to RH Edwin really inspiring because it shows how small healthcare programs can make a big difference in rural communities. The event offered free eye screenings and health checks to more than 70 residents, with prescription glasses later provided to those who needed them.  In a busy semester while reading community stories like this, I remember needing best course completion help service just to keep up with my studies. It reminded me that the right support can improve lives in many ways.

I read the post about SOP Foundation bringing vision care services to the people in RH Edwin and how they offered free eye screenings and support for glasses, which is great for community health. It made me think of a tough study week when I used IWFM diploma assignment support UK while also learning why helping others with their health needs feels so important. It reminded me that even small acts of care can make a big difference.
