SOP Foundation Holds Second Blood Donation Drive in Miri

Miri – A simple act of giving can make a critical difference to someone in need. SOP Foundation held its second Blood Donation Drive of 2026 at Bintang Megamall, Miri, bringing donors together to support the local blood supply and encourage voluntary blood donation.

Organised with the support of the Blood Transfusion Unit Miri and the Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Branch, the drive provided an opportunity for participants to contribute to a vital healthcare need. The dedicated teams facilitated the donation process and ensured the safety and well-being of all donors throughout the event.

A total of 61 individuals registered, with 57 successful blood donations collected during the second drive. The initiative also saw 9 individuals pledge to become organ donors, extending the spirit of giving beyond blood donation.

Together with the first drive, SOP Foundation has contributed a total of 165 successful blood donations in 2026.

For each successful donation, donors received a 2kg bottle of Merris Lite Refined Cooking Oil and refreshments as ahttps://www.sopfoundation.com/ token of appreciation.

SOP Foundation also extends its appreciation to the Blood Transfusion Unit Miri, Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Branch and Bintang Megamall for their support and cooperation in making the blood donation drive possible.

Every blood donation can help patients who rely on transfusions during treatment, surgery and other critical situations. Through initiatives such as this, SOP Foundation hopes to encourage more people to make blood donation a regular act of giving and help ensure that blood remains available for those who need it.
