SOP Healthy Strides Run 2025 Unites Community for Inclusion, Raises RM63,790 for Disability Support

MIRI, SARAWAK — Healthy Strides Malaysia proudly hosted the SOP Healthy Strides Run 2025 at Marina Park City, Miri, this morning—an inspiring event supported by the SOP Foundation that brought together a vibrant crowd in celebration of unity, diversity, and inclusion.
The event kicked off with an energetic Zumba session, energizing participants of all ages and setting a lively tone. The run was officially flagged off by Eric Kiu Kwong Seng, Board of Trustee of SOP Foundation alongside the clients from Healthy Strides Malaysia, symbolizing a powerful and inclusive start to the morning.
Over 300 runners participated under this year’s impactful theme: “Stride for Inclusion, Stride for All.” A standout moment was the 100-meter Special Run, where 30 clients of Healthy Strides Malaysia—children and individuals with disabilities—ran to thunderous cheers and heartwarming support, proving that everyone belongs at the finish line.
The event raised RM31,895 through registration and sponsorships, which was matched ringgit-for-ringgit by the SOP Foundation, bringing the total contribution to RM63,790. The funds will go toward expanding rehabilitation programs and inclusive outreach efforts by Healthy Strides Malaysia.
“We are deeply moved by the community's support and participation today,” said Eric Kiu Kwong Seng, Board of Trustee from SOP Foundation. “This event wasn’t just about crossing a finish line—it was about opening doors, breaking barriers, and moving forward together.”
A competitive spirit rounded out the day with awards presented to the Top 10 Men and Top 10 Women Finishers, celebrating their perseverance and athletic excellence.
